I'm puzzled why the only other reviewer listed this as fancy Italian. I didn't recognize anything Italian about it. On a plus side, the ambiance was very nice-- quaint, rustic while homey. I was greeted by no less than three women who were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Okay, surrounds are nice, but the food was just bland and left much to be desired. The stuffed mushrooms were runny (though the texture of the mushrooms were good). The French Onion soup was bland (despite plenty of sodium). The cheese was good, so if you're in the market for a heart attack, have at it. Even the gorgonzola dressing was bland! Seriously, how can that be?! Then, the reason I came in: lambchops! Mmm, well they were cooked to perfection, meaning they were medium well as I'd asked. However, they too were bland. If mutton didn't inherently have a taste, they would have had no taste whatsoever. bummer. It didn't matter whether I saved room for desert. 0 for 4, I wasn't about to consume needless calories only to be further ungratified and tally 0 for 5. Their only hope: get a new chef. Since he's owner, sadly you may want to pass on this place.
