If, like me, you have a hard time finding the selection of beers and wines and occasional bottles of single malt scotch or small batch bourbon that you really want close to home, or you have the good fortune of living in Towson, Wells Discount Liquors should be your store of choice. Quite simply, they have everything. They have an amazing selection of imported beers from all over the world, including some great Belgian lambics, and almost every American microbrew I’ve ever heard of. They have quite a few of the rarer (and better) brands of various liquors. Their specialty is wines, though—they have an enormous selection from all over the world of every type of wine, and a great staff to help you make a selection that is both good and in your price range. Overall, their prices are very good—beers are about the same as anywhere, but the wines and liquors are less expensive than you’d expect for the quality you are getting. The store also has a deli in the back that is pretty good, so it’s a nice place to stop for lunch if you work in Towson.
