Great Scraps in Millersville (mostly serving northern Anne Arundel county, but worth a trip from parts of Baltimore and Howard counties) is one of the best scrapbook stores in the area. The store is located in a medium sized shopping center with great parking and they have a large space so their stock is nicely displayed—no paper so jammed together that you can’t tell what the pattern is. Their selection is good (not fantastic, but respectable) and their class schedule is extensive. For beginning scrapbookers, I’d recommend Great Scraps almost before any other area store—so many scrapbook stores are almost intimidating to novices because there is just too much to take in and if you don’t know what you’re looking for, you’ll get overwhelmed. Great Scraps is easier to navigate. For experienced scrapbookers, Great Scraps has one of the nicest selections of patterned paper I’ve ever seen, although their embellishment selection is only average.
