Review content:
I frequented Family Billiard very often while in high school five years ago. It is a very spaceous establishment with many tables. On Friday and Saturday nights, there is sometimes a wait to get a table because it is so crowded.
Overall, I really like the quality of the equipment there. The tables are always clean and well kept and the cues are not bent and curved.
The prices are fairly reasonable and you don't feel like you're getting ripped off.
The owner is a really nice guy who is always willing to help you out with your shot or if you have questions. He used to play either professionally or semi-professionally. The first two tables usually have pretty good players on them and you can watch them play nine-ball and learn.
My own gripe is the smoking. Even when I went on a weekday during the summer and was the only person there and there was no one smoking at all, I would leave with the smell of cigarette smoke stuck to my clothes. This might be common at a place like this, but I personally was not thrilled with it.
