Review content:
I lived in Emmaus for 3 years (I live in Phoenixville now, though). I had heard commercials on Cat Country over & over again about this place called Matey's and their so-called best cheesesteaks in the valley. I was like, "yeah - whatever." Then I finally went there.
Holy cow! They aren't joking. I LOVE Matey's. Their steaks are so good - the bread is crunchy but soft in the middle like it's supposed to be. I always get my cheesesteaks with mushrooms, onions, green peppers & sauce and they were never skimpy.
The dining room isn't very big - but I love it because they have pictures of heros from the Wild West on the walls. And they play country music (or at least they did the last time I was there).
Just an FYI - they are closed on Sundays.
