Review content:
I echo everything said in the comments section. I am mostly a
beer drinker. I like many, many different good beers. New Castle is one
of my favorites, and Gomer's frequently has 12-pk bottles for $11.48 plus
tax, which nigh unbeatable. While I like what I consider "good" beers
such as Breckenridge, O'Dell's, New Belgium, Anchor, Blvd., I'm also
a bargain shopper. That's what's great about Gomer's. You don't
have to resort to buying 18-packs of Schwag from Milwaukee. I can
always find a six pack I'll like on sale for $5.99 or $6.49 maximum.
And Flying Monkey (Amber Ale is my personal favorite) right out
of Olathe let's you keep it local for only $5.99 regular price. I'm picking up a 5.5 gallon (44 pints) torpedo a keg of the stuff tomorrow for $29.99 plus tax and tap (that's a special).
Gomer's also has an cray to the Z wide and good wine selection, with a wine cellar in the basement for the rare and high $ stuff. A few weeks ago I was in there and Geddy Lee was was buying 8 bottles for around 8K + tax. Not being a high roller, I'm not interested in wines in that
price range. But you can tell them, "I want a bottle of spanish tempranillo
for under $21.50 including, just get me what you would get if that's all
you could spend and you wanted the best you could get for that." And
they will happily do it for you and not try to make you feel like a schmuck
or even say, "well, if I HAD to do that, I guess I'd get this, but for only
$28.79 + tax this one is SO much better."
This place rocks. I started going in there when it was the closest lickey
sto to my crib and I still go there even though I don't live quite as close by
any more.
War Gomers!!!
