I got a gift certificate for a Gold Package from my boyfriend for Christmas and I've just recently had a chance to get in for some good pampering. The package was mostly for spa services, though, and I also desperately needed some serious color on my roots and a good cut, so I scheduled my hair first and then scheduled my spa treatments for the following week. I have seen Gretchen for my hair several times, but only for cuts, and since I was tired of dying it myself, I let her give me a once-over and tell me her opinion. She gave me a great consultation and ended up giving me the best hi/lowlight that I've ever had. It looked so natural, but also very shimmery, and very age appropriate. And just by giving me a few wispy bangs, (something I wasn't really sure about at first) I really think that my age-appropriate style really makes me look a little bit younger too!! That's always a plus! What's even better is that I got a hand and arm massage from Abbey while the color was on my head and I was sure to get my massage from my package with her! As far as my hair goes, Gretchen hooked me. I'll never go to anyone else. My spa day was the following week, and it was great too. The spa is separated from the salon by a long hallway, so the noise from hairdryers and people talking is miraculously kept away while you relax, and it is so beautiful! Abbey did my massage, and not only was the massage great, but I ended up adding on what they call a "hot stone back treat" where she used hot stones on my back to get my muscles to relax more. That was fabulous! Then it was off to the facial room for my facial with Dayjia. She's done a pedicure on me before, so I recognized her right away. After being massaged for an hour, I was very relaxed already, but the half hour facial was wonderful. The products smell very earthy and spa-like, and my face really did feel good when she was done. That was the first facial I've had in ages, so I also added on an around-the-eye treatment too. Dayjia also did my manicure and pedicure, which were, again, amazing. It was just a shame that it was too cold for me to wear sandals to show off my pretty toes!
