Review content:
A quaint little place, we expected some authentic home cooking.
We were a party of four. The set up is pleasant, the lighting soft. We looked forward to what it promised, a quaint meal in a pleasant atmosphere - there were three full tables, nothing else.
It began with us standing waiting to be seated. Asking how many in our party and being seated - short one menu. Despite the wait.
Our server brought out a dish, with two rolls, and foil wrapped, utterly melted butter.
After a promise to return, we watched our server attend to another table twice - just to come back to us to inform us he was bringing our menu. By the time he returned everyone had made their choice.
Dinner was served - their Fish Special looked like fillets from any freezer section, placed on a plain lettuce, on a plain hamburger bun. Think Denny's 1950. The tartar sauce was in little plastic take out cups. Kudos to the french fry cook, however.
Baked spaghetti came out in oven dishes, nice enough. It was saucy, and cooked. It came to us rather watery, and decidedly bland. Nothing on the plate, no bread offered (despite us sharing the two rolls we were brought)
The server came back, apologizing for taking so long, standing - he had forgotten what he was doing at our table. He seemed to have other things to do, such as talking in the back with his friends.
It had been a long day for all of us, and not being treated as real customers was one thing; food I used to make for my kids when they were eight, another; but the kicker was when our bill came (slightly outrageous considering) and our server returned with our receipt having kept the change.
if you are looking for a quaint authentic meal; reconsider.
There is a large banner outside reading 'Grand Opening'. If that was the flavor of the month - Alfredo's Grill leaves a lot to be desired.
