Review content:
I received an advertisement in the mail for Ms. Buck’s "Baby Plan" (4 photos taken at 3-month intervals). It sounded like a good offer, so I called for more details. She confirmed I was not obligated to buy additional photos, but she clearly hoped I would. I decided that I could handle a little sales pressure for a good deal. I definitely received sales pressure on my first visit. On my second visit, before any pictures were taken, she asked me directly if I would be purchasing additional photos. I told her I couldn't afford it. She replied, "Well, are you ever?" A little shocked, I said probably not. After that she began treating me like a second class customer. During the sessions, she repeatedly missed perfect shots because she was playing with her camera and not focusing on my daughter. She made me preview pictures on the computer in the very back of her studio, instead of on her projector (as she usually does). And today, when I picked up the final picture, she criticized me for taking pictures of my daughter playing around in the studio after the last session. She actually said to me, “What made you think you had the right to do that?” I expressed my high level of dissatisfaction in working with her, to which she replied, “I just don’t think we were a good match.” What kind of business owner says things like this? Since when is the client responsible for making sure the company is satisfied with their patronage? In my opinion, Ms. Buck is highly unprofessional and very unpleasant to work with.
