Review content:
This place rocks. I bought a used car that had a slight annoying rattle in the muffler. Took it into Dan's for a check, and they said that the problem was a worn out cat, and a piece of it had broken off and lodged itself in the muffler. They said the cat would have to be replaced; and if the rattle bothered me, I'd have to replace the muffler too. Looking closely at the muffler, we all thought that replacing it would be a shame since it appeared to be practically new. They said that they could try and shake out the little rattling piece, but to try they'd have to cut off the muffler and then re-weld it back on; and that the odds were against the piece being shaken out due to the way mufflers are internally designed. I told them to go for it. A half hour and a LOT of shaking later, they DID manage to shake the annoying piece out of the muffler! As I was happily paying the bill, more good news -- I found a receipt in the glove box from the previous owner that showed that the muffler was in fact only a half a year old, and that it was Dan's sister shop in Seattle that installed it! What a co-incidence! When I showed the receipt to the owner, he said that the muffler was still under warranty and only charged me for the new cat!! =)
