Review content:
I am relatively new to Tallahassee and went in for a 90 minute deep tissue massage at Better Living Day Spa last weekend. The setting was beautiful through the rear windows and sliding doors; it all seemed peaceful when I initially entered. The owner has done a great job of converting an older home into a functional day spa. A few distractions kept me from the full experience (admittedly I have been spoiled by my experiences at Spa Sydell in Atlanta).
The single massage room was inconveniently located just off of the main reception and check out area as well as the kitchen. The entire time I was there, I was listening to phones ringing, traffic outside, scheduling and payment conversations as well as lunch talk. And even with signs reminding patrons to turn off their cell phones, I got to listen to those as well.
The massage by Jason was good, but not the best I've ever had. I have had much better from Cate, an instructor in Gainesville. I will probably go back if I can't find something else around town.
