Review content:
I live in San Carlos and had some friends from Menlo Park come visit on 9/2/07. We had heard San Remo Pizzeria and Ristorante was good, so we headed downtown to enjoy some dinner. Between our two families we had a party of 9, 5 of whom were children. Upon asking for a table, the hostess went back into the kitchen and returned to tell us that they didn't have any tables for a party of our size. Walking past several tables that could easily accommodate us, and I headed to the back to speak with the owner. He said that he didn't serve parties with that many children any longer! I stood there in shock, not believing what I was hearing. I walked out of the restaurant with my one-year old son in my arms blown away at the stupidity. As I walked out, passing several large parties enjoying dinner outside, I just felt sad for the owner's outlook on life. If you support the family, I encourage you not to patronize this business.
