Businiess name:  Tippin Rock Pet Lodge

Review content:
I would just like to let everyone at Tippin Rock Pet Lodge know that after leaving our home in Kansas with a reservation at Tippin Rock Pet Lodge for our 7 month chocolate lab, Daisy Mae, we drove 1st to Flint,MI for my wife's parents 50th wedding anniversary then driving to Groton,CT to the submarine naval base where our son was available for a few days before being deployed to points unknown to us due to security. The total drive was approximately 2000 miles that Daisy was confined to the back seat except for periodic breaks. We were really pleased that we had found a place with the facilities that were available at Tippin Rock Pet Lodge, such as the pet pool and acreage to play and stretch. We had a certain peace of mind knowing this. We did arrive rather late, but not later than the closing time on Saturday. We were there about 10 to 15 minutes before closing time. To our surprise and disappointment the young lady who was there when we arrived said that the pets had just settled down to sleep and she did not want to awaken them and that we would not be able to kennel our pet there. Remember it is still not closing time. The navy lodge in Groton,CT does not allow pets so we thought our only option at this point on a Saturday evening would be to do the almost unthinkable and have Daisy spend the night in the car. How cruel to Daisy and hurtful for my wife and myself. Do you folks really have compassion for animals/pets or is it just when it's convenient for you? The gentleman at the front desk gave us the name/number of someone he knew so we called. The woman we spoke to was genuinely as shocked I believe as we were at the situation and told us absolutely to bring our Daisy over and she would make her very comfortable. When we met her she absolutely cared, which apparently is not part of the business criteria at Tippin Rock pet Lodge, and immediately took to Daisy as Daisy did to her. The place was very clean and you could tell she took pride in her place. Finally after so many hours and miles we had a little peace of mind and were able to spend some quality time with our son. I must say that our morals and belief's implore us not to hold any grievances but rather to say only that we and our son, wherever in the world he is and whatever the time of day it is that he and all our service men and women will stand guard at the gates of freedom so that you can continue to run your business to make money in whatever manner you choose. Regards, Phil & Sandi.......oh, and Daisy Mae
