My husband and I had our 2003 VW Passat sedan serviced at Day auto for a non-working air conditioner. The shoddy repair started a fire in the engine which ultimately resulted in not only the car burning to the ground but also our entire house and its contents.
I am writing this from a 2 bedroom apartment after staying in a Hampton Inn for 10 days.
A forensic inspection was done on the car and the investigator's report stated that an unapproved part was used in the repair of the a/c which then led to the destruction. In other words, the job was incorrectly done and my husband and I must pay the price.
Gratefully,my husband, dog and I escaped unharmed . However, I cannot believe Day has not contacted us to apologize or offer any assistance.
Our lives have been permanently altered due to one of Day's employees. Cherished heirlooms are gone forever due to negligence and we are starting over since we literally only had the clothes on our backs.
I plead with those thinking of servicing their vehicles at Day to think again - this could possibly happen to you.
