Review content:
Cafe at Brookwood is the best kept secret in the Katy Houston area. It is located on FM 1489 in Brookshire. The food is delicious. The chef studied at the Culinary Institute of New York and has been at the Brookwood Cafe since inception.
We have been there many times, the food is consistently delicious. They have an extensive menu with a daily special. The sad thing is that while they are open 7 days a week, they are only open for lunch.
The atmosphere is "fine dining" at its best. Cloth napkins and tablecloths.
The staff are attentive and gracious. The Cafe is part of The Brookwood Community who serves the needs of handicapped adults with dignity. Some of the residents of the Brookwood Community help serve in the Cafe. It is an humbling experience to see someone with life obstructions cheerfully serving those of us who are "normal". There are regular who work beside the residents to assure all is handled properly.
Excellent food in a fine dining atmosphere and in the same building as the gift shop. The gift shop has something for everyone. Exquisite, unique items reasonably priced. Everything from chest sets to dinnerware and lots in between.
