Businiess name:  Johnson Glass & Mirror
Review by:  Steve b.
Review content:
I called Johnson glass to get a replacement rear driver side window on a 2002 Mazda Protege' sedan. They called back and said the window was in stock and bring the car in at 1:00pm Friday afternoon. I showed up on time with the car and asked if the window was there and that the technician was there to install it. I was advised that everything was there and the job will be finished in about an hour. After 30 min they tell me the window is the wrong one, that they ordered the right one but what was delivered was wrong. I guess they did not check the part delivered to what was ordered. They said the correct part was on its way and would be there in 30 minutes after about an hour a truck showed up with a driver side mirror no rear window glass! Again I was told in another 30 minutes the correct window would be delivered by another truck on its way. At 5:30pm the correct window finally made it to their store and was installed. They did take $30 dollars off the price to compensate for the delay. I'm just amazed at how many errors were made on one simple task. Most of the issues were associated with Johnson glass supplier, at least that is the impression they gave me and they compensated with a discount. My advise is to ask all the questions before you get involved (is the part there and correct? is the technicain available ?0 and after thsy say yes make sure you have plenty of spare time. This simple 1 to 1.5 hour choir took all afternoon because some folks could not perform their job. This is the second time I have been disappointed by Johnson glass. On another occasion they installed a windshield on my Mazda Tribute and it leaked so bad that it caused the headliner to get soaked and need repaired. To their credit they did replace the windshield at no cost to me but this time it was due to poor craftsmanship of the technician. Johnson glass quotes excellent prices but this sometimes comes at extra expense due to lack of consistent quality.
