Review content:
I've wasted countless hours and dollars with clueless wannabe "computer techs" who can't fix the problem I ask them to do. I've hired the cheapie guys from craigslist, I've done the "friend of a friend" thing. I'll admit it, I was initially sucked in by those guys' seemingly low prices, but now I realize why they were so cheap- IF they can fix the problem, they fumble around for four hours, and end up breaking something else in the process. Not worth it at all. Finally, I broke down and picked up the phone book and started looking for someone who knew what they were doing. Home Base Computer Services has a yellow pages ad with a picture depicting a woman screaming about her broken computer-- that was definitely what I looked like! When I called and spoke to them on the phone, I could immediately tell the difference between these people and the jokers who were working out of their dining room. They understood the problem I was dealing with (in my case it was a wireless network issue), and suggested a couple of ways I could try fixing it myself, but frankly, I don't have the time to mess with this stuff. The Home Base technician came out the same day, was very professional, and was in and out in about 45 minutes, problem fixed, PLUS he identified and repaired a problem with my virus protection that I didn't even realize I had. Five stars.
