Yes, for the most part the prices are lower at Xpect but I seldom can work up the perseverance to actually shop there. They don't have scanners at the cashier, you have to count on the cashier to type in the right price You can wait fifteen or more minutes in line waiting to check out on a busy day They have almost no meat so you will still need to go to the grocery store. It just takes too much effort and time for me to do regularly. I do want to give them kudos for really cleaning up the store. it is much more modern and clean than it was formerly. As a comparison I bought honey nut cheerios 14oz $2.67. Price on sale at Stop and Shop $3.39, not on sale at Tri Town Market $4.39. Price at Target however is $2.49. Walmart $2.97. Guida Milk 1% $2.69 a gallon which is way cheaper than anywhere except the Exxon Station in Portland. If you have the time, you can save some money.
