Kissimmee, FL – Pondtastic Water Gardens and a group of fellow Certified Aquascape Contractors (CAC) made the trek to Walt Disney World’s Epcot® Center with water garden product manufacturer, Aquascape, Inc., to display the beauty and tranquility of water gardens. Inclusion in the Epcot® International Flower and Garden Festival furthers the thought that water gardening is a huge part of outdoor living for people all over the world. The group was tasked to build five water features for the exhibit, all of which took place in the middle of the night under bright lights. The crew toiled for three days, building what was sure to be a group of watery masterpieces. There was a variety of water gardens that were built, ranging from a full-fledged pond, to Pondless® Waterfalls, to fabulous decorative features! A 15’ x 25’ Pondless Waterfall was the largest of the group, complete with a 40-foot stream, a bog garden 15 tons of large boulders, and eight 16” koi. There was also an 8’ x 11’ pond and a 6’ x 6’ Pondless® Waterfall, along with two dynamic decorative features. In one decorative feature, thee large urns were used, along with Aquascape’s AquaBlox. In the other, three large fountain rocks were displayed. “We wanted to take this opportunity to show off the decorative side of water features,” Ed Beaulieu, Vice President of Field Research for Aquascape, said. “The demand for water in the outdoor living space is huge right now, and it’s important to show people that they don’t have to just think of ponds when thinking about adding water to their landscapes.” Certified Aquascape Contractors representing 14 companies were on hand to take part in what was truly a memorable build. Certified Aquascape Contractors are pond builders who install Aquascape’s patented ecosystem ponds. CACs are awarded certification based on education, customer satisfaction, and continued quality service. “Every time I work with my fellow CACs, I learn something new,” Jim Price, of Pondtastic Water Gardens, said. “I take those tips and use them in my own projects to create beautiful water gardens for my customers. ” Epcot’s® International Flower and Garden Festival runs from April 5th-June 3rd, 2007.
