Businiess name:  Elliot's Barbeque
Review by:  Karen T.
Review content:
I don't know where the other reviewer on this site has been getting their barbecue, but we've lived in Charlotte for over 40 years and there isn't anything else in Charlotte that compares to Elliot's for barbecue. We are regular customers and have never had lunch or dinner there that wasn't terrific. The pork barbecue is smoked, moist and clean with none of the fat and burned ends you normally have in chopped bbq. Ribs fall off the bone. Chicken is unusual -- smoked then pulled like the pork so all you get is lean smoked meat with no bone or skin to contend with. Best vinegar slaw I've ever eaten; terrific mac and cheese and a "to die for" banana pudding. The menu and atmosphere is also kid friendly -- great place to take the little ones instead of your usual kiddie fast food places. It's also not a chain, locally owned and one the owners is always there. We recommend Elliot's to everyone and take lots of new customers ourselves whenever we get the chance.
