Review content:
First, let me say that we live in Needham and that my daughter likes many of the toys and gifts at Peacock Feathers in Needham, MA. Recently, however, my wife had to return a stuffed animal my daughter purchased at Peacock Feathers in Needham, MA. The salesperson informed my wife that they do not refund on returns, but instead provide store credit. My wife accepted that and took the two receipts stapled together, one showing store credit. Today, she went back to make use of the store credit, because my daughter spotted a nice stuffed animal. When my wife presented the receipt she had been given, the same sales person who had given her the credit (by means of the 2 stapled receipts) claimed that there should have been an accompanying card of some sort. My wife said that she did not receive such a card. The sales person insisted that they ALWAYS give them out. Clearly, there was some issue. Instead of working it out and providing - - good customer service -- the sales person started acting rude towards my wife, who was accompanied by our 8 year old daughter, and literally tossed/threw the bag towards my wife - and she said 'Thank you' in a rude tone. As soon as my wife got home, she informed me of this - and how she was flabbergasted by the salesperson's ill behavior. I am sharing this, so that others may become aware of the Peacock Feathers' return policy - and how they handle such situations. Furthermore, we hope that the sort of community and market forces that influence businesses are set in action. Signed, Disappointed Needham Parent and Resident.
