Review content:
No contest. Might as well put the Philly boys (Pat's, Geno's, etc.) to sleep, because Gus has the BEST TASTING cheesesteaks. Granted, the ones from those dudes in Philly are larger, but they also cost more and aren't nearly as tasty. We introduce out-of-towners and newcomers to Gus every chance we get, and every single person has agreed that this was the best they ever had.
I like to order mine with extra cheese and light sauce. They must season the meat, because it is so tasty even without the cheese.
This is why Gus has been in business almost 40 years, and why the locals repeatedly name his shop as the #1 place for cheesesteaks, year-after-year.
