Review content:
Its really hard to believe that I have never been here before. Jacob Wirth is an authentic pub style restaurant on the outskirts of Chinatown. It is a pretty large place and has the look and feel of an English style saloon...Not that I have ever been to England or would ever eat the food if I ever do go
The menu is basic fare with a surprising amount of German cuisine..And they have a ton of beers. Unfortunately, this was a business lunch, so I did not partake
What was surprising was the level of service. The waitress can not be more accommodating. My friend orders clam chowder and does not finish half of it. He does not eat potatoes(he is from Jersey). She offers to take it off the check. The food was served promptly and was decent. as well as affordable for that part of town or for any part of town these days.
It is definitely worth a look.
