Safe Drug Compounding Act of 2007
Dear Senator Kennedy,
Please I beg of you, do not pass the bill to stop Compounding Pharmacies.
I have had Multiple Sclerosis for 30 years. I have severe allergic reactions to most prescription drugs. I have tried MS drugs, only to find that I could not tolerate them or they would make me worst then I am. I have been on Low Dose Naltrexone for 4 years. It has been prescribed by my doctor. It was research by a N.Y. Doctor, Dr Bihari. Naltrexone is FDA approved for heroin addicts in the 50 mg dosage. But I only need 4.5 mg for my MS. In the 4 years that I have been on LDN, the two MRI's that I have had have shown no progression of my disease. Also I feel energetic and have a quality of life now. I still have MS but I am not all drugged up. I am able to have a more normal life than I could ever hope to have. I have a feeling of wellness. I get my Low Dose Naltrexone from Irmat Pharmacy in New York.
Please consider people like me before you try to pass that bill.
I thank You from the bottom of my heart.
Marie Deady
