I've been shopping at this GC for years now, and it used to be poorly run and understocked; now it's the best GC in the Seattle area. There have been a couple changes in management-level personnel and I would attribute it to these changes; if you've been there in the past and didn't like it, give them another shot. They carry probably the best assortment of acoustics in the area, a good variety of electrics and basses, and have knowledgable staff and salespeople. They aren't afraid to deal a little to help you out and they'll also leave you alone if you want to try out things by yourself for a while. I personally prefer this method over the "may I help you" x 300 that you usually get at such places. The sales manager stayed half an hour after closing to let one of my friends thoroughly test a fine Martin acoustic (I was there with him) without saying a word; in fact we didn't notice until after we left. BTW he did buy the guitar.
