Review content:
My husband and I went to Belle's Bistro last night with 6 friends. We had never been there before, but everyone else was raving about it. Maybe it's good for smaller groups, but we were squished into a too-small table next to the restrooms. The plates were too big to fit on the table. My husband's Steak au Poivre, listed as "pepper encrusted" consisted of a plain steak with a dollop of pepper sauce. I had the lamb which was good, but the sauce was not mixed properly. Some bites had the taste of mint, others tasted only of vinegar. I feel the food is overpriced for something that depends on the sauces to make the dishes different. As for the ambience, which was one of the reasons we chose Belle's, it was too crowded with tables and having to push a seat in everytime a stranger needed to visit the "facilities" was not what I was looking for in an evening out with friends. On a plus note, the service was attentive and prompt. But my husband and I both agree, we would not bother going to Belle's again.
