Review content:
My wife and I have eaten at that place a few times.. with mixed results.
We love to head out weekend mornings for a bite of breakfast.. one of the few treats we allow ourselves in our frugal reality.
this is our "neighborhood" diner, and sadly is run more like a cafeteria with old warmed over food.
See, to make decent hash browns and breakfast potatoes, you have to serve them as you make them. Eating some cold, sitting in a pan for an hour set really put us off. And I do love my potatoes. I don't care if they are "small" restaurant or whatever.. if they are going to charge a regular price, I want a regular dish.
Getting the Toast to be more than warmed over bread was also a struggle. To me, toast is crispy, brown, and NOT warmed up bread! If it flops, it aint toast.
The eggs were fine, and were made up fresh.
See, I guess the management was trying to "stream line" their operation and cut costs, precooking some items, who knows. Increase their profits, decrease their waste. But while other places do NOT do that as far as I can tell, they are not a mile from my house! shoot.
I do recommend egg & I on 287, and especially GREAT SCOTTS down on 120th. I will check back with this place and see if they are better next time!
