Businiess name:  Amacher, Darcy, DDS American Academy-Pediatric

Review content:
There's a real shortage of pediatric dentists in the area, so much so that I was advised to wait on kids' dentistry until age 3. This advice fell through when I turned out to have kids who develop cavities as soon as they develop teeth, so my family dentist referred us to the new practice of Darcy Amacher. She has now been our children's dentist for three years, and we couldn't be happier with her. Dr. Amacher is extremely patient with children, even my squirmy five-year-old who panics at the sight of a needle. The waiting room offers videos, books, and toys appropriate for a wide range of children. The general exam area provides a play area as well so that siblings without appointments can stay occupied. The room for more advanced procedures has a TV and another wide selection of videos, helpful for distracting a nervous child. And everyone on the staff is as good with children as Dr. Amacher -- I can't even count how many re-dos they were willing to do of my wiggly daughter's X-rays (and I was amazed that they were able to succeed at all). Parking is good and they're just a minute away from a bypass junction, so access is convenient. My daughter has told me many times she'd rather go to the dentist than the doctor -- high praise when you're five and full of fillings!
