Dear Dr. Chiou: I hope you don't mind, my Mom gave me your e-mail address. I figured I'd write, since it's probably difficult for you to speak on the phone at work and I don't think I'll see you in person, since I have an appointment this Wednesday for a cleaning and my Mom tells me you're out of there on Tuesday! Just my luck! To say that I am upset that you're leaving is an understatement, I think my Mom cried all afternoon yesterday and I was in a state of shock for hours! I really want to wish you all the best in New Hampshire. I'm sure it was a difficult decision for you to make, but I can certainly understand the need to take chances and try something new. I hope your move turns out to be a great decision for you. I really want to thank you so much for all you've done for me. Besides the excellent dental work, you've provided me with the comfort and the confidence to face something that I had feared for so long and I will be forever grateful to you! That being said, I really hope I can find someone new who will give me the same compassion and care you did (as if that could be possible!). My Mom said the new dentist is very nice and she thinks I will like him, too. I hope so. Do you think he can help me get through the rest of the work I need to have done? I don't just mean professionally, you know I will need a little "hand-holding" as well. I want you to know, I would've followed you pretty much anywhere in the tri-state area to be your patient, but New Hampshire is a little far...Please keep in touch, through my Mom or directly with me, if it's possible. Again, thank you so much for everything! I wish you only good things! Heidi F
