Businiess name:  LaSalette Restaurant

Review content:
We were going to go downtown yesterday and have pizza for lunch, but I wanted something more interesting, healthier, and not in the see-and-be-seen atmosphere of the place we were originally considering. So, we went to LaSalette. I had only been here once before for lunch and was happy enough to come back for a second meal. Boy, howdy! Was it ever delicious! Rather than ordering a standard meal, we opted to order several appetizers so that we could experience more than one dish. We started with the Sonoma Goat Cheese Empada, which was pastry filled with Goat Cheese and Mushrooms and a two sauces on the plate one which seemed to be a pepper puree and another that was some sort of sweet balsamic type of sauce. Delicious! Next we had the Dungeness Crab Crepes with Corn and Shrimp, topped with a Grape Relish. Again, delicious! The third course was OVER THE TOP: Seared Scallops (cooked to perfection) on a bed of mashed roasted sweet potatoes with an accompaniment of I'm not exactly sure what. All I know it was fantastically delicious and I can't stop thinking about it. The fourth course was ordered as a palette cleanser and it was perfect: Organic Greens with Granny Smith Apples and Almonds. I don't know what the dressing was, but it was paired perfectly with the ingredients in the salad. Then there was dessert: Balacha Maria, which I guess is the Portuguese equivalent of Tiramisu. Excellent! Nice quiet location, nicely decorated, attentive staff and great food. We even tried a Portuguese (macao?) wine. I highly recommend LaSalette.
