Review content:
Russ Trained our Border Collie. Actually, he trained us and our kids how to train the puppy. Our dog is now part of the family and can go anywhere with us. He is obedient and loving. He has never jumped, chewed, bit, or run off. He is very protective of our home and kids without being aggressive or threatening. When our kids are out playing, he has his eye on them at all times and joins in the fun. He is friendly to people and dogs but will "protection bark" when strangers come around. He quickly stops when given the command.
I will be honest and say our experience with Russ was less than perfect. We found him a little confrontational at times and tended to be rough with our puppy. He is not abusive and knows how dogs think. I know many people who have used him. Everyone either really liked him and his work or really did not.
We recommend Russ, but with caution. Russ knows dogs and knows his stuff but ask about his training philosophy and methods. Be sure you gel with his personality. If you choose to work with him, your dog will be "the Best" dog you have ever had and everyone will love to have it around.
