Review content:
My 5 month old son had just gone in for his shots at Dr. Nadal's and had been running a fairly high fever for 2 days (102-103 degrees). I called and they said not to worry. I then called back the 3rd day as sysmptoms remained the same and she said to bring him in if it would make me feel better. I saw the Nurse Practitioner as the doctor is very hard to get into same day. She checked him out and said all was fine. By the end of the week and sysmptoms remaining the same, I took him back. During this time my niece had been diagnosed with RSV, a very serious infection that affects breathing. I explained this to the doctor and wanted to have him tested but they had run out of tests. She assured me that if he had it, she would have heard it in his lungs. She said he was fine and probably just had a cold. I was upset. I felt there was something wrong with my child so I went to get a 2nd opinion the next day. Surprise, Surprise! Not only did he have RSV but he also had a severe ear infection. He was put on breathing treatments and antibiotics immediately. I made a complaint to Nadals office manager, but I don't feel like they took me seriously. This is something, that if left untreated, could have put my son into the hospital or even worse. As if this wasn't bad enough, there nursing staff are rude and do not take concerns seriously.
