Review content:
I had occasion to list my home with Century 21 Dabbs and was extremely disappointed in the complete lack of performance and professionalism.
I was told a "Gold Post Sign" would be placed in my front yard, but it never was. I was told a "Lockbox" would be placed on the house, but it never was, and I was told the house would be advertised as a "Preferred Property" on their website, it never was. And so on, and so on. The bottom line is that the house did not get exposure, but I was locked into their contract!
I was told, prior to executing the Listing Agreement, that I could cancel the Agreement at any time by providing written Notice. I provided written Notice and learned that they would not remove my MLS Listing until I paid them a $1,000.00 fee. This created a problem with listing through another Real Estate Agent.
Century 21 Dabbs demands to be compensated for non-performance, in my opinion.
Despite their lack of follow-through, I offered to pay their out-of-pocket expenses, if any, so that I could list with another broker. Century 21 Dabbs refused to allow me to list with anyone else, and did not give any out-of-pocket expenses. They wanted a thousand dollars for doing absolutely NOTHING, before they'd release the contract. I also placed several calls to the Broker/Owner of the company, and not one call was returned.
If you are looking for a Real Estate Agent in the Chicago Metropolitan area, I suggest you pass on Century 21 Dabbs and Associates - save yourself a lot of money and headaches.
