Review content:
Kripalu Center is the largest healing arts type of center in the Northeast (and perhaps in all of North America). It is open 365 days a year and offers a wide array of special programs (though you can just go there for R & R and not part of a formal program). My husband and I spend New Year's Weekend doing a "Thai for Two" Thai massage program (superb). Of course, much of their content is yoga-based or otherwise related to healing arts, spirituality, etc. but they have cooking retreats, art-related, Tango and other dance, and whatever. The food is healthy and tasty. The surrounding Berkshires are beautiful and lots of activities to do in the surrounding areas. They are in the process of constructing another building that will have more facilities with private baths (now mostly it's a shared bath situation, which isn't all that bad since you have a sink in your room). DansKinetics classes are offered daily and are a chance to see uptight NYC and New Englanders go WILD (tons of fun and super exercise). Many yoga classes all day at all levels. Amazing energy. And all types of people (not just earthy/crunchy but ALL kinds of people from all over the country).
