Review content:
I have been a major fan of The Groundlings comedy troupe in Hollywood for years. This is an all improv group whose alumni read like a who's who of comedy, including Jon Lovitz, PeeWee Herman, Lorraine Newman, Lisa Kudrow, Cheri Oteri and on and on. They perform in a little theater on Melrose Avenue several times a week. Several times during the evening of prepared skits, suggestions from the audience are welcome and are used to make up sketches right before your eyes. A long precursor to WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY, the Groundlings have been brilliantly performing for many years. Even though there might be a clinker sketch now and then, most are pure gold and you never know what future star might be performing for you. A real treat.
