The first time I tried Red, Hot and Blue was in Chapel Hill and the food has in general been good to very good for a chain. I've tried ribs in TN, NC, KC, OH. MO and think for a chain Red, Hot & Blue has some of the best wet ribs. Of course, that is when they don't mess it up, which is what happened at the Crabb Branch store. We had a group of about 10 people and at least half of our orders were bad. I guess the first clue was when the food came out in like 5 minutes after we ordered. We had a variety of food and alot of it was either dry, cold or tough. Obviously, the food had been sitting around and microwaved or something. My friend ordered the brisket and was very displeased with it, he complained to the manager, who attributed it to being an end piece. We got a slight discount on our check, but we'd much have preferred the food be up to par. This was on a Sunday at lunchtime, not sure if it'd be better at other times of the week. Personally, I wouldn't want to try again, I'd rather go to the Red, Hot & Blue on Wilson Blvd. in Arlington which had excellent food, the one time I was there. Let me know if you'd recommend a place for great ribs closer to Rockville.
