I received treatment from Dr Fett for a fractured right hand. When the cast came off, I was in terrible pain. Dr Fett told me that there was nothing wrong with the bones in my hand and that I had developed a very painful condition known as RSD. After months of treatment from Dr Fett and physical therapy, I sought the advice of a hand specialist who told me that I should have had surgery at the time of the original fracture. I had bone grafts and cartilage grafts and am now recovering and the prognosis is good although because of the delay in treatment, I may not gain full use of my hand. I do not have RSD. Dr Fett treated me for months and took numerous xrays. He was not able to see the damage in the xrays although, so far, two other doctors who reviewed the xrays were able to see the damage immediately. Dr Fett never relayed to me as a patient that there was any doubt as to my diagnosis. All subsequent medical treatment was based on the fact that I had RSD. My situation was treatable by surgery and Dr Fett (whose business card says hand surgeon) missed the problem and took a year of my life away.
