I went to Post 8 last week and as a visitor, I cannot see how the regulars can stand the place. It was dusty. The lamps above the pools tables have not been cleaned in months it appears. The bartender, a sarcastic woman named Barbara , sat and smoked while I waited for a drink for 15 minutes. Considering there were only 5 customers I am surprised at her attitude, her attitude was one of if you don't like it F**K IT. One customer moved a chair and was told I believe a man named Jimmy okeefe , the custodian to keep it there or esle. The customer in question must have been 80 if not a day older. Most of the customers tended to agree with me that the bartender Barbara pulin (her name as I found out) was not very sociable and swore alot . I find that as I travel this has been one of the worst places I have traveled. The bartender was coughing into her hands then putting them in the ice she was using for the customers drinks, not even using a scoop, (thank god I drink beer, I took my own cap off!) I was introduced to the Grille Chairman who seemed to be drunk early in the am, considering it was only 11 am and he was conducting business I do not find that to be commending. All in all this is a place to avoid. I have never been in such a place and have to say when traveling 99 percent of the Legions I have been in would get a rating of excellent for this place , well I would close it down and re- elect the whole bunch of them.
