My name is Lilith Johnson. When I had a different first name, I had the misfortune to be forced into Turnabout. i know it's supposed to help, and I did learn a lot, but their philosophies and practices really get under my skin. I don't think their organization is legal, and their philosophy is to break someone down so they can build them up again...but I never got built up again. For a long time I was afraid to even talk to my parents because I thought they would criticize my ever word, my every action because that's what happened in Turnabout. I was very disappointed with my experience and I would never - NEVER - put my child into such a damaging environment. Please take my advice and let your child go to therapy before you jump to such an extreme solution. I was very messed up when I first got out. They diagnosed me with bipolar disorder while I was IN Turnabout and they decided that I was faking. When I had my first grand mal seizure, I was told to "quit faking because they could see right through me." I'm begging you...DO NOT PUT YOUR TEEN IN TURNABOUT!
