Businiess name:  Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers
Review by:  O. J. W.
Review content:
On Friday, December 8, 2006, at 11:30 pm I went through the drive through at this Wendy's and ordered a #7 with lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions and cheese and a coke (medium size). The price was quoted as $6.57. When we paid this, we were told that we'd have to wait 6 minutes. We said OK and they closed the window. In a moment the girl opened the window and said, "Did you want a spicy or a grilled?" I replied, "I ordered a homestyle fillet. I did not order a spicy or a grilled." She then said "It will take 6 minutes, did you want a spicy or a grilled?" When I repeated that I did not want either and that we would wait for it, she repeated that it would be 6 minutes and then asked us to pull over. We did. At 11:45, a man came out with a sandwich in a bag. I asked him where the rest of the order was. When I told him that I ordered a #7 he left and came back in a few minutes with a sandwich, fries and a drink. He was very polite and apologized for our long wait. We told him we were sorry he had to walk out twice with the order since the temperature was about 30 degrees at the time, The bag felt very hot and heavier than expected and the drink was large rather than the medium I ordered and there were more fries than expected. But I assumed he did that to make up for our long wait. When we got home, we discovered that the sandwich was not even a chicken sandwich. It had 2 burgers and one piece of cheese. There were no tomatoes, pickles, onions, lettuce. But the thing that infuriated me was that they gave me beef rather than chicken, especially after we waited so long. When you haven't had supper yet at 11:45 pm, you're not in any mood to be jerked around by people who are too lazy and selfish to be honest in their dealings with you. I cannot imagine ever being hungry enough to go there again. I can imagine telling everybody I know that the people who own this Wendy's are incompetent and irresponsible for hiring the girl who took my order and my money and then refused to give me what I ordered. I will also call the Better Business Bureau on Monday to register an official complaint.
