After injuring my hand at work Sunday 11/26/06, I was told to go to US Healthworks in Tamarac, Florida. Funny thing is they were closed Sunday! I was then told to go to Boca Raton, Fl., almost 20 miles away and a 30 minute drive, not only from where I live, but also the place of the accident. I waited there 4 hours before I was seen by a Doctor. Someone (not sure if was a x-ray tech.) took x-rays. The Doctor said because of the pain I was in, She was not comfortable making a diagnoses. Even though there was clearly no broken bone showing on the x-ray! (HUH???) Yes that is what she said, then she said I'll have refer you to the Emergency Room. She then said if it was broken She could not set it as they do not set broken bones.http://www.ushealthworks.com/home.asp I then went to the Local (MY TOWN) emergency room, where I waited 4 1/2 hours to get more x-rays and have a doctor tell me nothing is broken, if you still have pain here is a referral for a specialist. I told him what the Doctor at US Heathworks said that she was not comfortable making a diagnoses, which surprised him! US Healthworks is good if you have a cold or flu, since that seems to be what their Doctors can treat, don't go there for anything else.http://www.ushealthworks.com/home.asp
