The coastal area of Jupiter and Palm Beach are quickly growing into one of the most popular places to live and play because of it's great weather, tranquil location, and beauty. With a coastline dominated by new condos and high priced shopping centers; it is becoming increasingly difficult to find quality establishment which have the experience and reputation of offering honest services. Hidden amongst the condos and yacht clubs is a gem of a dive shop; The Scuba Club inc.
The Scuba Club is located on the intracoastal off of flagler just north of 45th in West Palm Beach. Everything you'll ever need in the world of diving is located on the premises. They have their own boat on their own dock; very convenient as you only need to park once, check in, and the boat is literally a short walk away. Too many establishments require you to park in one place to pick up your rental gear than drive on over to the boat which is located on a separate dock. At the Scuba Club everything is there so you only need to show up 30 minutes before your dive to get set up; great for those of us who aren't early morning people!
For those who are new to diving The Scuba Club has very experienced full time instructors ready to get you started in the diving world. They have two pools; one of which is a 16 foot deep tank which is perfect for training new divers or for those who haven't been diving in awhile and would like a quick boost in confidence before they head out.
If you're missing something in your gear bag their pro shop is full of quality gear with the unbiased knowledgeable staff to offer you any advice you need in making a decision. If you just need some maintenance their staff of technicians are ready to put some new life into your old dive gear.
They run regular trips throughout the week offering both two tank and single tank dives. Their crew is perhaps the most knowledgeable of any dive op I've been to anywhere in the world. They know the area extremely well; this became apparent to me when one of the divemasters took me to a very small inconspicuous hole in the ledge of a huge reef. Looking in I didn't see anything at first, but looked at him as he gave me the wait one second look. Sure enough eventually out came out a Black Brotula!! A super rare fish, it was quite a treat. The fact that the divemaster knew exactly which hole the fish hung out in was simply astonishing. Just remember that if you plan on diving on the weekends call a week in advance as spaces get filled up fast.
In addition to the top notch service The Scuba Club offers phenomenal pricing. Don't be fooled by the "club" in their name, this is not your run of the mill Palm Beach exclusive club; anyone is welcome to dive, which is noted in their competitive pricing which fights off exclusivity offering a very friendly and diverse establishment.
