Review content:
Despite the fact that they advertise tastings daily from 10am-5:30pm (on the web and on their sign on Route 29), I was told at 5:05pm last Sunday that they were no longer offering tastings and could just give me a single splash of wine. I was a bit peeved as we had gotten in the car on a rainy afternoon for the sole purpose of tasting wine at Hall. The pathway to the tasting room is beautiful (great for photographers looking for some nice, well-lit vine shots) and the hall itself was tastefully decorated with "Cabernet drops", glass drops hanging from the ceiling - I had been all set to enjoy some wine in this setting.
Lucky for the winery, I thoroughly enjoyed their Cabernet Sauvignon (current release being the 2003). Unluckily for the staff, I decided not to purchase it from them (therefore denying them commission on a case) because of their false advertising of a full tasting for our party of 4. I will order from the website or a local merchant instead.
Maybe you will have a better shot at tasting ALL their wines if you show up early in the day. Good luck.
