Review content:
I've been to PJ's twice in the last month, and I really enjoyed myself the first time, second time was only so so. The menu is well priced and generously portioned, but I found it odd how the menu was split into tapas and entrees.
All of us agreed that we were much more wowed by the small plates than our entrees. The crab and spinach dip was a complete guilty pleasure. We also enjoyed the garlic mussels, oysters on a the half shell, and the surprisingly tasty bbq short ribs. The most disappointing dish by far was also the most expensive- Pachi's Signature Shellfish Roast, a mixture of seafood cooked in a cast iron skillet. It looked great, but after a few bites it was obvious that everything was over-salted and worse, covered in paprika or something similar. Basically inedible.
Still, great service and friendly environment.
