just to set the record straight, michele r is actually my partner. we were visiting from washington dc last year around christmas. i booked my appointment over a month in advance and was told that because i was booking 3 services i had to pre-pay to reserve the appointments. this made sense, especially since it was on 12/27, very close to christmas. upon checking out from my services i was asked to present a gift certificate (which makes no sense since i bought services for MYSELF) that i was told had been mailed to me. i never received any gift certificate. i called my credit card company and confirmed that i had already been charged for the services in november, and they advised me not to repay. the salon had no record of my payment and reiterated that they sent a gift certificate, even though they had NO RECORD of either. i was shocked at the shoddy record keeping and refused to pay, as visa advised. as i left, she threatened to call the police. upon returning to washington, i took up the issue with visa, and ultimately, visa sided with me. i am FURIOUS at the way i was treated by the manager (or perhaps even owner -- i frankly have no idea who she was). the services i received were sub-standard in my opinion. the facility was not very nice, the massage ok, but not great, and my pedicure barely lasted 2 weeks. i am sure the salon CLEARLY remembers this story -- there's no way anyone could make up such an ordeal. to suggest that my partner is a disgruntled employee simply continues this salon's trend of dishonest behavior. how dare they attempt to double charge me and then call my partner a liar. also, for the record, i had these services on 12/27, the 3 year anniversary of my father's death as a treat to myself to relax on such a difficult day. the services i received were, not outstanding, and your behavior regarding my pre-payment (threatening to call the police) was absolutely disgusting and a disgrace. please do not continue to lie on this or any other website. future customers, be forewarned. this salon cannot be trusted.
