Review content:
I purchased a boat from H&W Marine a couple of years ago. I am very happy with the boat and I was pleased with the manager, Amanda, who sold me the boat. However, Amanda has since left and ever since then the service at this retailer has gone downhill (at least in my opinion). Amanda sold me the boat without a trailer. She put it in the water for me and brought it over to my lift. She assured me that most maintenance could be done on my dock and whatever couldn't they'd come pick it up. This was true while she was the manager. Then last winter I needed an oil change. On the phone they were real nice, but they never came by like they said. Eventually they said that it couldn't be done at my dock and that I'd have to purchase a trailer and wait my turn in line. I called another boat place (which I will review next) and they took care of my oil change at my dock. Then a little over a month ago, my boat stopped running - right out in the middle of the lake, while going 50MPH - it just stopped! It was under an extended store warranty that Amanda sold me. I called them several times. I even went there. Every time I called they said they'd be out in the afternoon. When I went there, they said they'd be there the next morning. It's been 5 weeks now, my boat is back in my dock (repaired by the other dealer) and the people at H&W Marine are still giving me excuses as to why they can't come out yet. I'm going to call them tomorrow and let them know just how bad their service is (as if they don't know).
