Review content:
We first took our puppy, Jessie, to Happy Tails in 2000 and have been using Happy Tails faithfully since. Penny also trained our puppy and we always get comments from friends and family that our dog is well-behaved.
It is a smaller kennel and cozy. Penny rotates the dogs throughout the day in the yard. Being very concerned about our puppy when we first started boarding her, we asked many questions. Penny demonstrated a true understanding of her breed (Alaskan Malamute/Lab mix) and described how she was very careful to know the dogs that stay with her and make sure they are compatible with one another. She explained how she would only put the ones that were compatible in the yard together. This was very important to us since our dog is not an 'alpha' dog.
However, the true measure of the service is that Jessie gets excited when we tell her she is going to Penny's and when we are within two or three blocks of Happy Tails. We saw this excitement from our dog after our 2nd visit and it has continued year after year. We board her 3 or 4 times a year. Our reassurance that Jessie is in good hands comes directly from our dog and nothing can compare to knowing your dog loves where she is being boarded at.
