Businiess name:  The Harvest Diner

Review content:
When most of us think of a diner, they think of a greasy spoon that only serve burgers and breakfasts in atmospheres one step less generic than I-HOP or Dennys. The Harvest Diner is located at 841 Old Country Rd, Westbury, NY,11590. It's open 24 hours on weekends and until 2:00 AM on weekdays due to the fact of less business on weeknights, however, the Majestic Diner near the Source Mall, which is nowhere near as good, is open 24 hours everyday if you have a severe diner craving, otherwise, Harvest is the place to go. On my most recent visit on 10/28/06, I ate lunch with my grandparents. When we entered, the atmosphere had a retro 50's like feeling. We were then greeted by our friendly hosts, the Savaa family. At the table, a complimentary breadbasket of breads and rolls were a welcoming touch. After we were seated, our friendly waitress took our orders. I chose a Complete succulent Grilled Chicken Breast Meal which included soup or salad, the entrée, dessert, and a beverage, my grandma ordered a the Harvest Grilled Chicken Sandwich I recommended, and my grandpa ordered a surprisingly excellent Philly Cheese steak. with fries and a warming bowl of Manhattan Clam Chowder. Complete meals at the Harvest include sides such as crispy French Fries, Hearty Zucchini in a tomato based broth, baked potatoes,Salad and many more. I also recommend the gourmet style French Dip and more. A wide range of non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages alike are available. Their freshly squeezed O.J., which hits the spot at any meal, tasted like it came straight from Florida. For dessert, freshly baked cakes and pies are available as is Hershey's Ice Cream, which is my personal favorite brand of ice cream and a reason alone that I come here for as Hershey's ice cream isn't available in many locations. Whether you're craving a home style breakfast, an authentic Greek specialty, or anything else available here, Harvest Diner will always hit the spot.
