Businiess name:  St Augustine Lighthouse
Review by:  Ann E.
Review content:
My first visit was during last year's Lighthouse Festival during the spring, I believe. It was very crowded because of this but my enjoyment of the grounds and exhibits was not lessened at all. Cotton candy wafted up through the tall, mature trees surrounding the historic, white, two story lighthouse keeper's home which houses the museum. Inside are completely fascinating exhibits on the families that lived there and on St. Augustine's marine history, such as when Flagler College was utilized to house marines during WWII. Several eras are evoked quite beautifully by the professional displays. A climb up to the lighthouse is, while arduous, worth the views. It is also free to St. John's County residents during October (hurry!) and to everyone during the Lighthouse Festival. Don't worry about the fee, though, if you do run into it. You will feel good giving it to them after the day you'll have here.
