Review content:
I purchased a set of tires in Dec. 2004. The tires were
40,000 rated Scrambler AT. I did not purchase a road
hazzard warranty. That is not the issue. The tires only
have 5000 miles of wear. The person at the store I
bought them told me there is no warranty on the tires
because they are two years old. What does years have
to do with the 40,000 mile warranty. I do not drive myu
truck very many miles in a year so there shoud still have a wear thread warranty on them. I am very dissatissfied with this procedure. I was not told I had to
purchase a road hazzard warranty in order for the tire
the 40,000 mile warranty to work. No wear in your
advertisement or my paper work said I had to buy a
road hazzard for the 40,000 mile warranty to be of any
good. Now they want me to go thru the manufacture to
do anything. I bought the tires from you Pep Boys not
the manufacture. Discount Tires sure dosen't make
you go to the manufacture to cover their tires. I know
of no tire dealer that does not at least cover the thread
wear on any tire they sell, regardless if you have road
hazzard or not. I feel very misled by your service
department when I purchased these tires. I bought these tires from a reputable business, but I feel this is
very wrong and your customers will hear from me about
this matter if someone doesn't call me and ask for my'
explanation on this matter. I will also file a complain
with the better business bureau on this matter and how
this practice of making you buy a road hazzard is being
shoved on customers or a tire warranty is not covered.
I woud of bought the hazzard coverage if it was explained to me that this is a common practice. I have
bought tires in the past from other dealers and this has
never happened. Please feel free to contact me at your
convience. Tel. 623-979-4840
Have enter another good comment to replace this one.
the matter was handled very well by the Asst. Mgr. and
I was very happy with the results.
